Compatibility
Fits the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 and ThinkPad P52s. It is not for the T480, T590 or other ThinkPad models unless their touchpad cable is also FRU 01YR465. Check the model name on the label under the laptop, or match the FRU number printed on your old cable.
Before you replace the cable
Update the touchpad driver and check the touchpad is enabled in the BIOS first. If it still fails, or if the cursor works only when you press on the palm rest, the cable is a likely cause. Fitting needs the base cover removed and the battery disconnected before you unplug the old ribbon.
