Compatibility
This back cover fits the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus (SM-G955F) only. It does not fit the Galaxy S8 (SM-G950F), Galaxy S9 Plus or Galaxy Note 8. The S8 Plus is taller than the standard S8, and although the S9 Plus looks similar, its camera layout and body differ. Check your model number in Settings > About phone, where it is listed as the model number (for example SM-G955F).
How to fit a Galaxy S8 Plus back cover
- Power the phone off and warm the back with a heat gun or hair dryer on a low setting to soften the old adhesive.
- Lift the old cover with a suction cup and slide a plastic pick around the edge. Take care near the camera and fingerprint sensor.
- Clean off all old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol.
- Move your existing camera lens cover across if the new panel does not already have one.
- Apply the supplied adhesive, press the new cover into place and hold it firmly, or clamp it, for a few minutes.
After any back cover repair, treat the phone as no longer water resistant, even with a new adhesive seal fitted.
