This battery fits the Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950F) only. It does not fit the Galaxy S8 Plus (SM-G955F), Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S8 Active, which take their own batteries. The Galaxy S8 Plus is a larger phone, and the Galaxy S9 has a different camera and fingerprint layout despite a similar shape. What you need to replace a Galaxy S8 battery
- New rear cover adhesive: the back panel is glued on, so you need a fresh adhesive seal, or a new rear battery cover, to close the phone.
