Compatibility
This back cover fits the Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) only. It does not fit the Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) or Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S7 Edge is a larger phone with a curved design, so its parts are not interchangeable with the flat Galaxy S7. Check your model number in Settings > About phone, where it is listed as the model number (for example SM-G930F).
How to fit a Galaxy S7 back cover
- Power the phone off and warm the back with a heat gun or hair dryer on a low setting to soften the old adhesive.
- Lift the old cover with a suction cup and slide a plastic pick around the edge. Take care near the camera.
- Clean off all old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol.
- Check the camera area is clean and free of dust before you close it up.
- Apply the supplied adhesive, press the new cover into place and hold it firmly, or clamp it, for a few minutes.
A fresh adhesive seal helps keep dust and moisture out, but water resistance cannot be assured after any rear cover replacement.
