The S7 Edge has curved sides and a larger body than the flat-screen Galaxy S7, so the two phones need different parts. Check your model number in Settings > About phone, where it is listed as the model number (for example SM-G935F).
How to fit a Galaxy S7 Edge back cover
- Power the phone off and warm the back with a heat gun or hair dryer on a low setting to soften the old adhesive.
- Lift the old cover with a suction cup and slide a plastic pick around the edge. Take care near the camera.
- Clean off all old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol.
- Move your existing camera lens cover across if the new panel does not already have one.
- Apply the supplied adhesive, press the new cover into place and hold it firmly, or clamp it, for a few minutes.
A fresh adhesive seal helps keep dust and moisture out, but water resistance cannot be assured after any rear cover replacement.
