The loudspeaker sits at the bottom of the OPPO A12 and plays ringtones, media and speakerphone calls. The earpiece is the small speaker at the top that you hold to your ear. If callers are fine with the phone at your ear but ringtones and videos are quiet or silent, this loudspeaker is the part you need. Before replacing it, clean the bottom grille gently with a soft brush, as blocked mesh can mimic a failed speaker.
