How to fit a charging port flex
On the OnePlus 3 the charging port sits on a flex cable that plugs into the main board with a press-fit connector, so no soldering is needed. You will need a heat pad or heat gun, a suction cup, plastic opening picks, a small Phillips screwdriver and a spudger.
Power the phone off, soften the adhesive and lift the rear panel or screen as your model requires. Disconnect the battery first, then remove the old flex, fit the new one and press each connector home evenly. Test charging and data before you reseal the phone.
