Compatibility
Listed for the standard Nintendo Switch. It is not for the Switch Lite, and Switch OLED owners should check the fan type before ordering. To check which Switch you own, look at the model number on the back of the console: HAC-001 or HAC-001(-01) is the standard Switch, HDH-001 is the Switch Lite and HEG-001 is the Switch OLED.
How to fit a Switch cooling fan
- Remove the back case screws with a Y00 tri-point screwdriver.
- Lift out the microSD shield and the metal heat shield.
- Disconnect the battery, then remove the heatsink screws.
- Unplug the fan connector, unscrew the old fan and fit the new one.
- Clean and reapply thermal paste before refitting the heatsink.
