Fitting the Pixel 9 screen
The Pixel 9 panel is adhesive-sealed, so you will need heat, thin prying tools and fresh adhesive for a clean, secure fit.
- Power the phone off and apply gentle, even heat around the edge of the old screen to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the screen slowly with a thin pick, taking care not to tear the display flex.
- Clean away old adhesive and fit a fresh adhesive seal before seating the new screen.
- Test picture, touch and fingerprint unlock before pressing the screen fully into place.

Is the Pixel 9 screen the same as the Pixel 9a?
No. The Pixel 9a is a different model with its own screen. Order the part that matches the name in your settings.
Will fingerprint unlock still work?
The fingerprint sensor sits under the display. After fitting, delete and re-register your fingerprint in Settings, and allow for some difference in unlock speed compared with the screen the phone shipped with.
