Compatibility
Fits the Google Pixel 8 Pro only. It does not fit the Pixel 8, Pixel 7 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro, because the sensor and flex are specific to each model. Check your exact model in Settings > About phone before ordering.
What the repair involves
The fingerprint sensor on the Pixel 8 Pro sits under the display, so the screen has to come off to reach it. Work slowly, keep the area free of dust, and make sure the sensor sits flat with nothing between it and the screen, as trapped debris or adhesive can stop it reading. After fitting, delete your old fingerprints and enrol them again. Some Pixel repairs also need the fingerprint sensor calibrated with Google's online repair tools before it reads reliably.

Why has my Pixel 8 Pro fingerprint sensor stopped working?
Common causes are a drop, pressure on the screen, liquid damage or a screen replacement that disturbed the sensor. If the sensor itself is faulty, replacing it restores fingerprint unlock.
Do I need to remove the screen?
Yes. The sensor is under the display, so the screen must be removed first. Have a replacement screen adhesive ready for reassembly.
Do I need to set up my fingerprints again?
Yes. Stored fingerprints are linked to the old sensor, so remove them and enrol again once the new part is fitted.
