Before you replace the loudspeaker
Check that the phone is not in silent mode, that the volume is up and that no Bluetooth device is connected. Clean the speaker grille with a soft dry brush, as lint can block sound. If the sound is still crackly, very quiet or missing, the loudspeaker has likely failed and this part is the fix. Fitting usually means opening the display, so work slowly and keep track of each screw.
