Compatibility

Is the reader really the fault?
Before replacing the reader, rule out the easy causes. Try a different nano-SIM, then check the SIM tray for bends or cracks. If a working SIM in a good tray still shows No SIM, inspect the reader pins for damage or corrosion. On these models the reader is soldered to the logic board, so fitting it needs hot air rework and micro-soldering skills. If you are not confident, ask a repair shop to fit it.
