Compatibility
Fits the iPad Mini 4 (A1538, A1550) only. It does not fit the iPad Mini 2 or iPad Mini 3, which use a separate LCD and glass, or the iPad Mini (5th generation), which has a different display. Check your model in Settings > General > About, or read the A-number printed on the back of the case before ordering.
Why the iPad Mini 4 needs a full assembly
On the iPad Mini 4, the glass is laminated directly to the LCD. Separating them outside a factory is not practical, so a crack in the glass means replacing the full assembly. That is why this part includes both.
Fitting needs heat, opening picks and new adhesive. The display cables are fragile, so disconnect the battery first and lift the old screen slowly.
