Compatibility
Fits the iPad Mini 3 (A1599, A1600) only. It does not fit the iPad Mini 1 or iPad Mini 2, which use a different digitiser, or the iPad Mini 4, where glass and LCD are fused. Check your model in Settings > General > About, or read the A-number printed on the back of the case before ordering.
Keeping Touch ID working
Touch ID on the iPad Mini 3 is paired to the logic board, so only your existing home button will unlock the iPad with a fingerprint. Move your current home button and its bracket across to the new panel carefully; a replacement button will work as a button but not for Touch ID.
You will also need heat, opening picks and new adhesive strips, as the glass is glued into the frame.
