Compatibility
Fits the iPad mini (1st generation, 2012) and the iPad mini 2 (2013). It does not fit the iPad mini 3, mini 4 or later models, or any full-size iPad. To confirm, check the model name in Settings > General > About, or read the A-number printed in small text on the back of the case: iPad mini is A1432, A1454 or A1455, and iPad mini 2 is A1489, A1490 or A1491.
Digitiser or LCD: which do you need?
If the glass is cracked or touch is erratic but the picture is clear, replace the digitiser. If the display shows lines, dark spots or nothing at all, the LCD has failed. On the iPad mini 1 and 2 these are separate, so you only buy the part you need. Neither model has Touch ID, so the fitted home button works straight away.
