iPhone 12 Pro Max earpiece compatibility
Fits the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It does not fit the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro, which use different top speaker and sensor assemblies. Check your model in Settings > General > About before ordering.
Face ID and the sensor flex
On the iPhone 12 Pro Max the front sensor parts work alongside the Face ID system. Fitting a replacement sensor flex can stop Face ID from working, as the phone may not accept a new component in that system. If Face ID matters to you, keep the phone's existing sensor parts wherever possible and only replace the flex when the earpiece or proximity sensor has actually failed. Handle the flex gently, as it is thin and easy to crease.
